DLS is a program which automates the data entry of commercial driver logbook information. Driver logs are scanned into the system and interpreted by the latest ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) and graph imaging software. From there any errors are reviewed by the user and corrected before the logs are archived into the system.

After logs are imported or scanned into the system the software will automatically grade the driver based on any errors found in the original logs by creating a notification letter explaining what if any problems were found. The system also generates reports for management and admin staff so that problem areas can be addressed proactively. What this means for a company is an increased safety rating, better qualified and informed drivers.

DLS is capable of scanning up to 4000 logs in one hour. In a company with 250 drivers, the log management process is something that could be handled by one person, part time, saving you time and money.

DLS uses powerful ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) to read and interpret the data from the scanned logs. The program uses a confidence level set by the user to determine the validity of an entry. The default confidence level is 85, meaning if the soft-ware is not 85% confident that it can identify the character it scanned it will flag it for editing. Any part of the log that you wish the program to interpret or not interpret based on your needs can be turned on or off.

DLS comes equipped with an excellent array of default reports. Customize your own reports as well.

These reports will let you know which drivers are in violation and let you act accordingly. One option is a penalty system that lets you penalize the drivers with a point system. You can then print out this report and let them know what their rating is with recommendations on what to do to rectify the problems. This whole process is beneficial in that it shows the company has due process in alerting their drivers to the problems. This helps make any safety audits you receive a quick and painless process.
